The “Pedra de Fogo” mining company (the Brazilian Petrified Wood Company) markets a highly diversified selection of Brazilian petrified wood. The fossils are from the Permian Age, Pedra de Fogo Formation, in the Maranhao basin.
Our fossils come from deposits registered with and are marketed under the authority of the Brazilian government
The fossil material is collected using legally approved techniques, according to mining and environmental preservation principles and laws. Every effort is made to assure the best possible preservation of the specimens. The specimens are packaged and handled so as to be able to be shipped anywhere in the world without damage.
Our goal is to offer the best possible product for the price, and the largest possible variety and quantity of fossils in the country from Brazil's largest petrified wood deposit. This, together with the large inventory in our warehouse, allows us to supply any quantity on a continual basis.
We are offering our products to both the domestic and international markets, both in natura and processed, and have exported to many different countries. We have a large client base nationally, and those clients attest to the quality of our minerals and refer new clients. We have sales representatives in the European and Asian markets, and are negotiating with representatives in the American market. These representatives support our international operations.
All of our documents are available to our clients, so as to attest to the legal origin of our products.
